At 18, I sought help for sleep after seven sleepless nights. What followed dramatically changed my life: a misinterpreted answer during assessment led to unnecessary hospitalization and treatment, only to be later told “no mental illness.” This experience of being boxed into a diagnosis that didn’t fit shapes how I create a different kind of space today – one where your whole story matters, where you won’t be fitted into predetermined categories or paths.
